First Goal Wins

Ask me anything   Submit   Billy Barmes - I love teaching the game of soccer and have been lucky enough to do so on many levels (youth, HS, college, pro). I also enjoy triathlon training, being outdoors, cooking, reading, music, movies, good conversation, listening and learning.

My Photos from NSCAA Regional Goalkeeping Diploma Course

I participated in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Regional Goalkeeping Diploma course this past weekend in Nashville, TN. The course is part of the NSCAA Goalkeeping Institute.

The course was held at the Franklin Road Academy and was primarily instructed by Chris Price.

Below are a few pictures I took during the field sessions of the course.

Goalkeepers performing a warm-up during the second of three field sessions.

Small-sided games to big goals are a great way to get lots of game-like repetitions for your goalkeepers.

Playing a possession game that requires goalkeepers to use hands and feet.

The beautiful view from atop the FRA football field; had me wanting to sing Rocky Top all night with Lane Kiffin…oh wait…

Nothing like a game of keeper wars!
